Shake-N-Bake...Cody!!!!!

Cody and his girlfriend, Candace.

The cake
The crew
The famous underware, just in case he thinks he's on fire.
A Shake-N-Bake from Dillon
Boys being boys!
Cody and his wedgie.
And of course my favorite girls.
Cody had the best night ever last night. His family threw him a surprise Talladega Nights 16th birthday party. He said he didn't have a clue.
I knew it was going to be a great party the day before when Rylee and I gave him his gift, that had finally came in the mail. A couple of t-shirts that had his favorite quotes on them... He jumped up and yelled, "I love you Gerri!"
Kerri had all the foods from the movie for the kids. The party was in the garage. She decorated in a race car theme and hung up signs all over the walls with quotes from the movie.
But the best and most memorable part of the night had to be when Hank said a prayer before it was time to eat. Now if you have seen the movie you know how Ricky Bobby prays to the infant baby Jesus or Jesus as his friends to the south call him! Where he thanks his smokin' hot wife. The stone cold fox! (Woo, woo!) It was priceless. Cody was laughing the whole time, along with all his friends. I operated the video and had the camera bouncing the whole time trying not to bust out laughing. You will have to call Hank and have him play his version for you it was a wonderful interpretation!!!!
Cody one day will realize how lucky he is to have such wonderful and loving parents.

New Kids on the Block!

I guess he must have known months ago that by putting both goats into the same pen would produce some new "KIDS"! But just the other day Grandpa mentioned that Nellie is going to have a baby(s). After helping feed, water and unload the horses after the races I couldn't help but look in on the expectant mother. She is deffinatly bigger than she should be. I wonder if she is as scared as I was to be a first time mommy? Keep watching for the newest updates on the newest addition to the family. A Bouncing Baby Billie Goat!!

Nellie and her boyfriend, Billie, waiting to be fed.

Sooooooooooooo Close!!!!!!!!!

Right here you can see Grandpa's team on the right.
C.C. is just now being moved over after brushing the other team.

Perfectly matched in their strides.
Grandpa likes that.

Still perfectly matched. Grandpa likes that even better!

(Sorry that the video is so lousy. Mary took it for me using my phone.)

Grandpa (Far side) 22.43 seconds -VS- R & R 22.34 seconds
It was one of the best races of the season, so far.
But then, we knew it would be. Talking to Grandpa earlier in the morning he knew it would be tight. He was going to give 'em a race. Wasn't going to hand them a win.

It doesn't show it in the video that earlier in the race he had to check his team, as they got to close to Ron's. Grandpa says he wanted to get close to the other team, because his horses race faster that way. If not for brushing the other team I personally think that he could have won.

Better luck next week Grandpa!!! You make us all so proud!

Rylee gets a Big-Girl haircut!

Align CenterEver since Aunt Kerri went looking for a new hair style Rylee has been wanting to get her hair cut short. Or at least shorter. Before allowing this I put a chemical straightener in her hair to get it more relaxed and more manageable for her. She was extremely excited. I have not done her hair at all since we got it cut on 1-3-2010. She is very good at getting it the way she wants it. She is even learning how to use the plug in straightener on her NEW bangs. She is having the time of her life.
(And poor mom finds herself with more time
on her hands in the morning.
She did get to set her alarm for 3:40 a.m.
now instead of 3:30 a.m.
since there is nothing she can do to help
Rylee with her hair that early in the morning.)

A Mini-Anderson reunion.

Grandpa Anderson, who started this whole family,
shown here with his 2nd eldest son's kids.
Dad has been deceased now for over 10 years and look at us
still going strong in spite of his absence.
Aunt Lil and her family with us.
We made these plans to get together at Hillary's wedding.

Grandpa and Grandma Anderson. He'll be 90 this August.

He doesn't look any older than he did driving his boat at
Strawberry reservoir when we were little kids.

Cousin Tina and her family. Her husband will soon be fighting in Iraq.
He'll leave her right before the birth of their 2nd child.

Aunt Lil and my mom. She is the glue that keeps us all together.
I am thankful every day for her love, devotion and dedication to her family.
Glad that I moved back to Utah and Rylee is able to gather the
knowledge from her first hand!

A New Years Party of QUELF.

Do not ask, "What is Quelf?"
My best answer would be...
A horrible, annoying and utterly fantastically fun game!!

First of all it is a board game. Played with cards of different colors. Each pile of colors requires that individual to do an act, the entire game players to do an act, or that you do the required act on your turn.

(Just so you know this is my kind of game.)

For instance...
I drew a card that required that anyone taking the lead in the game to ride a pretend stick horse, slap their bottom and yell, "Get along little doggie."

(Loren, who hates the game, was the new leader at least 3 times. Hilarious watching him ride
his wild pony. Makes me laugh out loud just remembering. Love ya brother!)

At one point in the game Jolynn drew a card that required everyone to be silent until it was their turn to roll the dice. On my next turn, in my very best "Santa" voice I had to ask myself if I had been naughty or nice this year. Depending on my answer I could move 2 spaces ahead or go back.

(Since I am always good, I moved ahead 2 space!)

Then...each person had to take their turn sitting on my lap silently telling "Santa" what they wanted for Christmas! It was so funny, that they had a hard time miming their wishes while they giggled silently and uncontrollably.

(All the cell phone cameras came out when Wayne,
let me know he wanted Karen to have bigger you-know- whats!)

I have to tell my brother and
his family, "Thank You" for
including us in their New Years
plans again. This was our 3rd year
ringing in the New Year with them.
I even made up it past midnight.
WooHoo!!
(Although I fell asleep earlier while watching, Star Trek. Does it still count?)

Sledding at the Old Powerhouse in South Willow canyon.

Kyle. He made our train crash everytime he went with us!
We love him because he took the day off to go with us. Thank you Ky!
Rylee and Ashlee racing JD.

Hold on tight Ryles!!!!!!!!

I guess Rylee didn't hold on tight enough. Her, Ashlee and Hank came out of the sled in one laughing heap!
Cody after a crash. Knocked his beannie crooked.

Cody, JD and Kyle.

The boys racing.

The girls.

Loren and Jolynn after getting down the hill.
Isn't she cute in her warm weather gear?

The crash that will be felt for days.
We all felt young on the sledding hill.
Too bad our bodies are old and sore after sledding.
Ashlee one of the crash Queens.
Her and Rylee never made it down the hill without crashing.
We dubbed them the crash Queens.

Hank
Loren

Brothers

At the end of the day.
